Graffiti = Art?
Graffiti = Love?
Graffiti = Nuisance?
Graffiti = Vandalism?

However the public may take it, i believe those kids that have been playing with the aerosol spray cans were among millions other teenage kids out there whom have guts in putting their say in a manner of a creative way. Seeking for the best opportunity and space, to channel their grafs. Terally, i'd say graffiti is not in any way 100% negative but still, it depends on other elements of judgements to what positive aspect and syndication that might appear and carried out to the public in a larger frame.

What actually made me to write about graffiti?

In which appeared to my concern was a wall, not just any wall. This wall pictured above was at some time ago been under attacked by graf writers, tagging plus some unknown pieces of hateful words and etc. As you might see, the whole brick of walls has been repainted to clean up the whole lot of graffs. Still, i wonder; as on the other side of the walls appeared two new graffs, maybe it shall change nothing but a better background paint and surely it may be a better bomb area, again. Peace to all graf writers, hell yeah. Keep bombing.

Poem :: Game Over
A game, is a game,
Losing is a pain.

A game is still a game,
But losing is a shame.

Punx + Hari Raya = Hari Riot
While everyone been busy during this festive season, eat this, eat that. We had just planned a nice small occasion for all, a gathering. Thanx mom for packing me some extra delicacies for my fellow frenz at home. They did mentioned how good taste it was those rendang, serunding and cornflakes were. We finish the whole lot that night alone despite the incident we both me and another friend of mine whoose car was out of gas in the middle of the highway before the exit to Lukut Highway. To worsen things up, it is raining heavily that night and it is almost midnight if i'm not mistaken. Thank goodness i still have a pack of cigarette with me to ease a bit of our frustration. Thanx to Aboy Denigrate/Rongkos/Dying State and Faer East the dealer for saving our ass in the middle of nowhere. Heheh (",)

The trip to PD was just a gathering sort of like. Probably that was the only time where all of us would actually gather on the occasion and it happens yearly. Our yearly celebration end up with a nice joint. Heavenly joint. Thanx guys for all the good times just like the good old days. Just as a reminder, don't forget to be at Tumin's gig this coming December. More info at http://www.myspace.com/propagandja notice board or simply call Tumin. Takder masa nak layan korang. Hahaha ... Cheers.

Poem :: Coldness in the hazy KL

While every turning point of my life seems very uncertain.

Even my very own shadows seems not to like me much.

Every right seems wrong.

Every lesson learnt seems don't affect much on me.

What was wrong?

What did i do wrong?

Life maybe, wasnae as easy flow as man made me to chew and believe.

Maybe it is true what my father repeatedly remind me,

Life's is not a bed of roses.

Indeed, it is true.

I'm in need of love, shoulder to cry on, and a new me.

Was it posibble.

Am i able to.

Nothings change.

Nothing will, i'm sure.

Afraid of the dark.

I'm sure i'm not the only person on this planet that's afraid of the dark, afraid of creepy insects, afraid of heights and afraid of their own shadows. In particular, man has his own most frightening experience that probably never told.

Last night i went to a screening at the ASK. The screening held was scheduled at 8 but we had a smoke and a glass of Nescafe Tarik so it actually we actually went it about 9.30 or something. meet few friends from UBU - Rahmat Haron, FNB - Atiah & Poodin, SOS Penang - Ah Chong plus a few others which i hardly recall them. Had a smoke and a chat among others before we all decided to went in.

Movies that Hishamudin Rais had for the screening was Space Odyssey. Man going against HAL 9000 but that wasnae just what's it's about. Metropolis was played earlier but heard it was stopped as some technical errors on the DVD itself. Blade Runner than resume after a short smoke break. A film about a retired cop played by Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard hunts down renegade human replicates in a dark futuristic vision of Los Angeles. Love the set though, 2019 huge Billboards still exist, CocaCola too and Budweiser. Haha. Note, that film was made in 1982.

Went to the screening reminds me remember there're lots of other Kubricks film that i haven't watch though. I have seen some like The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut, Full Metal Jacket, Clockwork Orange back then, fresh in my mind still.

Lots of thanx to Azri for bringging us with him to the show and we settle down earlier before the show ended as we are hungry for food and mamak stall is where we bump before bed. Done.

Wish list... of the disearning.

Well, come about the National celebration and all, not that i celebrate any but it's a matter of getting nice photos out of it. Coming through soon is the Visit Malaysia 2007 and KL Buskers Festival. One of the events that i shouldn't miss any.

My fave lens would definately be the EF 17-40 f4 L & EF 70-200 f4 L. Probably the best companion for travellers so far.

Hopefully i can make it up into a good investment for the near future. Scrolling through the EF Lens Work III (The Eyes of EOS). Read through some history lesson and there goes the interesting part. Canon is firstly known as Kwanon which means The Goddess of Mercy by the Buddist. Cool ehh?

The fun just started as i flip through more and more. The whole bunch of explanation on pictures, getting the right tool, proper techniques, mechanism and all seems to burn me off right on the very spot. Credits goes to Badja for giving me to borrow his valuables. It meant a lot.

Direct Action vs Die In Action

Yesterday, a talk with an old friend on the phone over an upcoming gig. Shit loads of things to talk about too. Thanx Faer East for the time, done. Did enjoyed the evening as well. Met someone whoose really cool, dearly outstanding personality, photogenic and open minded just like me but skip the photogenic part. I hate being a subject especially for a photo.

Being him was so addictive and becoming part of his life was much cooler than any average mommies boy can ever hope for. Besides Marijuana, i do think there lots of other things that share the terms of 'Good Things Grow' like friendship for an instant. It's easy to become friends but keeping up is another thing. Not intend to be a somebody or what shit but it's getting along with someone and then to gain their trust or some sort and all. It needs more than just faith; a commitment sort of a serious relationship or something like that.

Instinct? Is it trustable? Save it for your own ass coz my instinct betrays me over the years, we're enemies now and i do have another soul to ask for help; just in case and also share my toughts too. Hello goes to Jha Bowl. Afterall, good things grow. May there would be peace around the globe. I'm through, fuck!

Heavenly Friday...

Got an old picture that i can't seem to find for quite some time. Found it seconds ago, the one which i accidentally missed out & save it elsewhere. Here it goes, picture of our walking trip, miss those times. Wish you guys are in a good health and be more patient during this fasting month. Nice people never die in Saturday so today is all you guys should care about. Maybe some prayers would help. You know better, i'm sure. Peace & Love.

The Light! I Hate The Light...
... It Makes me a Starfish!

I can't recall the old times when all the best stuff that had ever been played on the stereo was Alice in Chain, Butter Fingers, Evil Empire by RATM, Roots by Sepultura, plus some other choices but it's always Butter Fingers that keep on staying on the cassette deck. Song like Wet Blanket and all. Damn, such a fine memories though during my boarding school but it was like way back in the past.

Here I'm now, thinking still, for how long would they keep me here. Not by choice, they tend to make me quit. Never to my intentions to let go of this job without a fight but my fight seems to peel me off more to the end of the road. I'm putting high hopes for the near future. Pleading that tomorrow the sun may shine a little more brighter that the TNB supplied 415V street light. May there would be a change... tomorrow. :-x

[5] Hypocrisy - The Fourth Dimension

Fave Song - Fate of Norns (Amon Amarth)
I feel a chill in my heart
Like lingering winter cold
I and my son are torn apart
He was just 6 winters old

My first-born was he
And the last of my kin
The last one to carry my name
Death smiled at him its deadly grin
There is no one for me to blame

The fate of Norns await us all
There is no way to escape
The day to answer Oden's call
Or walk through hel's gate

I carry him to my ship
He seems to be asleep
But the deep blue colour of his lips
Is enough to make me weep

No man should have to bury his child
Yet this has been my share
The tears i shed run bitter and wild
It's a heavy burden to bear

His body feels so light in my arms
His skin is pale as snow
Yet his weight feels heavy in my heart
As my sadness continues to grow

Allfather!
What fate has been given me?
Why must I suffer?
Why must I feel this pain?
Allfather!
LIfe has lost it's meaning to me
I think I'm going insane!

I lay him down on a pyre
A burial worthy a king
And as I lie down by his side
I hear the weaving norns sing

The fate of Norns await us all
There is no way to escape
The day to answer Oden's call
Or walk through hel's gate

The fate of Norns await us all
I know this to be true
It's time to answer Odens's call
My son, he calls for me and you

First staged by The Necessary Stage in 1993 under the direction of Alvin Tan, Off Centre received much public and critical acclaim. Over the past 13 years, Off Centre has been made into an experimental feature film, adapted into a television movie, given a full reading in the UK, taught at a University in Kuala Lumpur and translated and staged as Otak Tak Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Off Centre

Been to the play of Otak Tak Centre last 2 years or so. It swept me all the way with joy, laughter and tears. With the stunning stage props and strong story line about a Schizophrenia patient and it's back soon by next year with it's original version. Haresh Sharma will rewrite history again during the relaunch. Otak Tak Centre is co-produced by Drama Lab and Off Centre in Singapore by The Necessary Stage. I will definately be there in Singapore for the play next year.

Emir Tulus
Just some photos to spare my happy moments with Emir last weekend.
Misses him so much. Sob! Sob! Sob! Be a good boy Emir. Daaa (",)
Ass Blowing Stereo

Photo taken at Berjaya Times Square and this is the best shot i had with this adoreable piece of car stereo. Just look at it, it's cool but i dunno how useable it is unless you open up your bonnet all the time. Hahaha. Love the LCD though but i've come across more stunning creation not by JVC i'm sure, Sony Explode i guess in Malacca some time ago built on a Mitsubishi Storm. Damn. You guys sure know that Storm is a 4 wheel drive pick-up truck kinda like, so just imagine having this massive stereo shit on the back of it, still i dunno how it reflects to be useful to its owner. Hahaha. I do remember that the stereo on the Storm it costs about RM 20k. Worth it? Mmm.

Stories of the untold - Sick People

Its not as nice as what it may sounded to be. It's sick. Malaysians are pile of sick people that tend to look healthy and this so called 'okay' look doesn't change my stand at all. To which i'm concern, Malaysians are fucked up anyway. That's why i need a damn good bloody expensive digital slr camera like those 1D asshole so that i can freeze up those sick people and frame them on my walls at home. Love to see those sick bitches on my walls. Glue them to the wall. That's more i like it. Sticking bitches on the wall. Sounds good to be the topic of the month to appear on the Playboy issue in Indonesia. I wonder is anybody getting themselves a copy of those porn crap. No naked bitches? Playboy of the Asian edition. No naked bitches allowed. It's sounded sick. Can't you get it? There're sick people feeding other sick people with sick material so that everyone can be sickening sick. I'm off.
Friends, remember. Consumers are not born, they are made of.

Indepen'dance' Day

It's not a critism nor my angst towards not being a nationalist.
After all, we won and annually celebrating our 49th day of 'winning talk' over British.
It's not that i tend to judge. Who am i to do so, but frankly speaking, see for yourself.
We asked for freedom, so freedom is what we should get in return.
Do we? I dunno.

Misc:
I'm trying to live how other Malaysians would live, without provoking but a question still; am i compromising or end up being a comformist.

POETRY
POTRAIT
PENANG - Nasi Kandar, What else?

This awesome shop we've been to was like kingdom of books. Named it, they'll have it. It's just a matter of searching for one. Rules ones must follow before doing your searching job. Of course there's no book finding helper as the only thing matters if you are interested in any books in the store that meets your interests.

+ beware of dust, you'll sneeze all the way as i did
+ there's always a thousand years you can spend time reading at home
+ get the books that you like, pay for them and walk away coz you'll be wanting more books if you'd stay longer
+ say thank you, we're polite malaysians aren't we?

Regardless to nice stay in Ferengghi and all, much of the credits goes to Min, our friend down in Butterworth for bringging us at the famous cendol stall and spare his time for a chat. Lots of cheers to you my friend. I wanted to put up the pictures i took with you but your extra baggage may scare the gurls away dude... Hahaha. Just kidding mates, keep the faith intact and Zaimy for the lovely picnic spot which is a beautiful scenery of the Komtar.

The ESPLANADE + visit

Been there, love it. Just look at the design of the building itself. It's so amazing, more amazingly inside as when i was there there was this visual art exhibitions was on, and there was this talk on cinematography thing, there we're also lots and lots of sculpture every corner of the place, i mean it's so amazing and i can't understand why Malaysia has to pick on artists that actually has wide acclaimed alone as somehow Singapore are being more open in getting pieces of art work from beginners and also intermediate artiste for an exhibition in Esplanade itself. I dunno, maybe; Malaysia holds too much egoism by themselves. Frankly, to me, a bit more open up won't do much harm, by a good exposure they'll be better.

Rather not speak more of what they have there. The Arts House for an example, it's a history building. A sense of appreciation still to the old building but a whole new look. Exhibitions on the building are held upstairs. Just imagine there's a cafe downstairs with a lomo exihibitions on the walls and window panel and at the same time there's a screamo hard core gig a level up. Plus we're there for a script reading on the main hall of the library next to the cafe. I mean, it's so happening. It really does.

What's more interesting, i got to meet Zaimy's little cousin. He's cute, probably 6yrs old i think. He's somewhere in East Coast but i hardly recall the place. Nevermind. I got meself a picture with him though. He's so hyperactive but yet respect the elders, can't seem to sit tight in one place. Best things about him? He plays kompang, he learned Silat, he knows tarian lambak too i'm sure. Imagine that for a 6yrs old. Huh!

APEK Stay Strong

Apek isn't a comic super hero. He's a good friend of ours. For the past month he's been challenged to stay alive with his lung, heart and kidney failure. Seeing him while he's still on his foot would definately put anyone with a smile because he has always something to tell, something to share and seeing him lying there hopelessly is so unacceptable.

Maybe it's a God's will, yup maybe. As far as i'm concern, his beloved bro, sis and dad are always on his side day and night. 2 days ago, he was scheduled to undergo an operation for his kidney but he was uncapeable to do so as he has an infection all over because becteria was been infecting his blood. I can't barely even type this, thinking of his illness.

During night fall, he usually has to depend on the breathing machine and he has begun to lose his hopes which is the last thing we would ever want him to do. He definately has to struggle and fight upon his sickness. I rather not care what the doctor actually predict on our dear friends life.

We wish that you be able to be okay and get yourself out of the hospital and still be with us busking on the streets like usual. Like the old days, yes, just like the old days. Our prayers and wishes shall always be with you as long as you'll stay strong. Real strong.
Lots of Love to you Apek.

From all of us.

SCREENING of GUBRA
Directed by Yasmin Ahmad
Screening Time - 5 o'clock on 25th of August 2006
Venue - Dewan Kuliah Utama Akademi Seni Kebangsaan

I was informed about this screening by invitations from R.Chong whoose currently doing a mojor study in writing at ASK but i remember telling him that i couldn't make it to join him as i'm working on that particular day during the screening time. Damn! For the record, Hishamuddin Rais is also invited for the discussion held after the screening.

I've seen Gubra and by most of Yasmin's film i've seen like Sepet and Muhsin, despite the fact that controversial win of her film during FFM Award last week, i got two words for her. She have guts. Okay sorry, make it three words then.

The IKEA sofa bed model is Mislina, amused by the plentyful of posters at Yasmin's office while others sit tight. As for me, i patiently and calmly waited for Syafiee. Did i Big Momma?

There was this once an opportunity i had seeing the directors cut of Muhsin. When i was there even before the screening, i knew what to expect. She is a nice lady who happen to have the angels face that the whole nation might hate her for it but on top of that, she really is doing it. Her film, i assume, may storm the whole of Malaya pleading them to smile and spare their happy moments and as the same time slapping themselves back.

I wouldn't be there if it wasnae because of Mislina Mustaffa who brought me there to actually see Shafie in person. He's really cute though. He was there at the screening with his family mom and dad and his sis. I was next to him but not really close, his father is there so as Sharifah Amani's family and her cute and adoreable sisters. Hardly remember coz there were like dozens of them.

My predictions are, by the upcoming month soon, all the spot light wouldn't just spark on Sharifah Amani alone as he'll get all the coverage too after Mukhsin hit the big screen.

Mukhsin is very much a continuation of a love story; Gubra and Sepet where Yasmin tend to stick to her idol Orkid. Mukhsin has it's strongness in which i would say it's a story of a malay family but may be odd malay kind of family in the public eyes but certainly she (Yasmin Ahmad) has always something to tell. Interestingly, the chracter, love between Muhsin and Orkid the whole one and a half hour long play was all about straightening differences, humourously. Imagining what life's would be without them. The set, the environment, everything you see is just so interesting.

If you may think what Yasmin is trying to do and passing the message around on Gubra or Sepet then the idea would probably be the same on Mukhsin. If there's a 5 star to rate Muhsin, i'll bet for 6 star then. Way to go Yasmin!

I'd love seeing her educating all other directors, to actually get Malaysian movie lovers, cinema goers a whole new beginning of the new era of thinking. Thinking to push themselves out of the typical malay syndrome attitude. Full stop.

AID 4 FNB JAKARTA
Date: Sunday 20th of August 2006
Venue: Usual serving place at Bukit Nenas
Task: Talk on how to help out in raising the sum of money

The briefing and whole idea was made up by Poodin whoose currently in contact with FNB Jakarta in aid for the Tsunami victims. The idea was to raise fund at about RM 3000 or equivalent to 8 million Rupiah to built houses for them.
Further information on the house building project will be amend and the actual layout shall be made available soon by our fellow friends in FNB Jakarta. In effort to at least help us having this rough description on what exactly they are proposing to do.

For the time being, we had been informed that our collection here from benefit gig was about RM 300. So it left them about 1:8 of the actual amount. Therefore fellow friends and members of the movement are asked to do their bit in raising the donation.
Our discussion that evening, roughly are:

+ whether to organize more gigs
+ probably more gigs but not money from the collection raised
+ collection from the afiniti groups inclusive of we ourselves for RM 5 each
+ promote and advertise in local scene punk pages
+ volunteer and etc

As agreed, a proper paper work shall accompany those people who would carry out the donation box and a standard box design would apply for all. For reference and all, the contact person would be Poodin himself whoose contactable via his cell phone by this number 013 2437092. May there be any questions, suggestion or opinion regarding the fund raising. One may come about in person during serving as usual on Sunday evening at 6 and talk to Poodin himself. May the force be with us. Power to the people.

TERRORIZER reunited
Exclusively for their highly anticipated second album, "Darker Days Ahead"
Scheduled at August 22nd via Century Media Records.

With an aggression and ferocity until then unheard the band took the scene by storm with the 1989 release of their highly acclaimed and genre-defining debut album, "World Downfall" (Earache Records). The album installed the band as a cult institution, despite their prompt disbanding, and the musicians went on to concentrate on their future main bands: Pete Sandoval (drums) with MORBID ANGEL and Jesse Pintado (guitars) with NAPALM DEATH.
With "World Downfall" TERRORIZER created the "Reign In Blood" of grindcore, inspiring a generation of bands, their popularity never waning through these intervening years. The massive amount of available bootleg recordings and band merchandise, as well as rumors of a follow-up album, kept the TERRORIZER name alive.
The eleven new tracks, as well as a new version of the band's classic"Dead Shall Rise" now entitled "Dead Shall Rise V.06", were recorded at Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez' D.O.W. (Diet of Worms) Studios (MORBID ANGEL, CHRISTIAN DEATH), resulting in a more mature, sinister piece of death/grind, fuelled with contempt and a harsh outlook on the status of our present and future world. "Darker Days Ahead" is trademarked byJesse Pintado's and Tony Norman's (MORBID ANGEL, ex-MONSTROSITY) unmistakably feral sounding guitar tone and Pete Sandoval's skin-flaying blast beats. Joined by vocalist Anthony Rezhawk (RESISTANT CULTURE), who renders an outstanding performance, TERRORIZER unleash a brutal tempest predicting the darkest of days.

Official press release, Century Media Records.
